Dear Sharra, Yesterday I watched Robert F. Kennedy's announcement about his Vice-Presidential pick. It was interesting to hear the issues his campaign is promoting, because some of them echo things we too have been talking about for the past year.
From carcinogens in our food and PFAS in our water, to the corporate capture of our governmental agencies, to the unholy alliance between government and corporations, to Washington having become a system of legalized bribery, to the risks for America's children, to America's sickness-care system, the Kennedy campaign is downloading some of the same themes that we have.
It's very unwise for the political elite to underestimate the level of disgust that Americans are feeling toward the establishment this year. 2024 is not a year of establishment enthusiasm; voters desperately want something new, and they're in the mood to make it happen. The Democrats winning in 2024 will rest on our ability to prove to the American people that we can speak to things that are happening in their lives right now.
And that is why I am seeing the season through: to continue the conversation about things that matter most. Things that are most relevant to people today. Please support my travels over the next six weeks; we are continuing to affect the ethers in meaningful and powerful ways. |
With excitement and hope for what is still possible in America, |
