People share stories like the young man working two jobs, including one at an Amazon warehouse. His neighborhood is suffering from water contamination, as are so many throughout America. He worries about his future and wonders if he can raise a family like his parents did.
A young mother recently shared her story of living in a city that is essentially a food desert. No food markets. The local gas station or Seven Eleven the only grocery store. She worries because she knows she's not feeding her children the fruits and vegetables their bodies need.
An older couple on a fixed income shared with us that they're splitting their medicine in half because they can't afford their prescription and also put food on the table. They worry if they have to start going to a charity food pantry. They appreciate Marianne's insistence that we must address the fact that 39 per cent of Americans are now regularly skipping meals.
These are the people for whom Marianne's message means everything, and we cannot abandon them. They know that as long as Marianne remains in the race then their concerns will not go ignored. The more support she can get around the country, the more chance there is that Marianne's message will make it into the Democratic platform in the general election. Millions of people for whom life is simply too hard in this country feel neglected by their government, and nothing short of serious attention to their pain will inspire them to show up and vote in November.
This is why we stand with Marianne. This is why we stand with this campaign. We do believe real change is possible, and Marianne's deeply humanitarian agenda is one that must be heard.
We believe we must continue to get Marianne's message out there and make it a part of the Democratic conversation.
Will you chip in right now to help us continue to spread our message?
