This letter is by one of you, a campaign supporter. MEET: Paul Browde, MD | Dear Sharra, In 1989 in New York City, recently diagnosed with HIV, I discovered a support circle led by Marianne Williamson. In that group, every week it was announced that someone had died. Marianne sat with us, listened, and met us where we were. She never sugar-coated. She taught us how to live in the face of death. I am so grateful for what she brought to me and to the AIDS community. As a doctor myself, I always felt encouraged by her to do whatever was needed to save my own life, including taking medication. Marianne looked AIDS in the eye and helped people find love and freedom in the face of death. Tumultuous times call for extraordinary leaders and I know, first hand, she is that. I donate to Marianne's campaign imagining a world where everyone gets the love and support they need, as she gave me. Please join me by making a donation as well. We can make what Marianne made available to me, and likely many of you, available to our entire nation. Sincerely, Paul Browde, MD New York, NY If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately. Would you like to write about why you support Marianne? Please send an outline of your story to hello@marianne2020.com. |
