Marianne is heading to Detroit! Marianne will be on the CNN / DNC Debate Stage in Detroit on Tuesday, July 30! We are supporting Marianne in two ways Live in Detroit and invite you to Join Us! - DEBATE VISIBILITY RALLY at the CNN/Media Pit!

SEE DETAILS BELOW 1. VISIBILITY RALLY FIRST, We'll Rally in front of the CNN Media Tent at 5PM on Tuesday, July 30. We'll have T-Shirts (for the first 200 people), placards, buttons and more! We'll enter the chute and join teams from the other campaigns – but we want our Team Marianne 2020 to be the largest! We'll Rally for Marianne in the CNN Media Pit, we'll compete with the other campaigns for the greatest Visibility, we'll chant slogans, and we'll have a blast! Hopefully we'll be able to let everyone know when Marianne's car is arriving at the Fox Theatre, and we'll give her a LOUD and PROUD Team Marianne 2020 Welcome to the Detroit Debate! It is important that you arrive by 4:15PM so that we can pass out Marianne Merch and get lined up … (meet-up info below) … We'll enter the Visibility Area and we'll Rally till about 7PM at which point we'll head over to The Fillmore Theatre for our Debate Watch Activity. VISIBILITY RALLY takes place in the parking lot on Woodward Avenue across from the Fox Theatre. Entrance to the lot is on E. Montcalm Street between Woodward and Witherell. Woodward will be closed to vehicle traffic between W. Adams and the Fisher Service Drive. Best access to E. Montcalm may be via Brush Street. Currently, other streets will not be closed but the Detroit PD warns that heavy attendance may result in additional street closures. We'll stake out a location on Montcalm to set up our Marianne Merchandise (t-shirts, placards, etc.) -- look for the pink balloons! Meet us there! (See info about parking and prohibited and permitted items below.) 2. DEBATE WATCH at THE FILLMORE At 7PM we'll head over to The Fillmore Theatre to watch the CNN Debate! We'll take over the State Bar & Grill – all TV screens will be tuned to the Debate! - and we'll spill into the Grand Lobby of the Fillmore with its marble staircases and Old World style. Additional TVs will be set up in the lobby. There will be cash bar and food/snacks (thank you for your understanding!) Woodward will be closed so we'll have to walk down to Park Avenue, and we'll enter the Fillmore at its side entrance which is located on W. Elizabeth between Park and Woodward – look for the red awning. CNN LIST OF PERMITTED AND PROHIBITED ITEMS FOR THE VISIBILITY RALLY Prohibited Items: Weapons, guns/knives, Pepper spray, signs larger than 2'x3', amplified sound, step stools, ladders, food, glass containers, coolers, opaque backpacks, noisemakers, tents, chairs, umbrellas and any other items that are not on the list are up to the discretion of CNN security. Permitted Items: Signs that are 2'x3' or less, water, sunscreen and ponchos. ACTION ITEMS 1.
