Dear Sharra, I saw myself referred to in New York Magazine yesterday as a "peacemonger." It said my ideas for "a complete reorientation of international relations to focus on conflict prevention" are "highly unusual." You want to take a minute and let that sink in…? It's true! I have this crazy notion that we should cultivate peace as effectively as we prepare for war, and that we should have a U.S. Department of Peace to coordinate our peace-building strategies. I even think it's the most surefire way for us to survive the 21st Century! Clearly, some people don't know what to do with my candidacy. Many within the political and media establishment do know that we're onto something, however. It's like that Bob Dylan song, "Something's going on here, but you don't know what it is. Do you, Mr. Jones…?" And the standing ovations my talks have been receiving in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina are making me believe that my words are striking home where they're most important: in the minds and hearts of voters. Yesterday's New York Times contained an Opinion piece written by Ross Douthat: "The Meaning of Marianne Williamson." In the article, Douthat argues that "she speaks for a larger constituency than many of her rivals, and her warnings of spiritual crisis are at least as relevant to an America beset by addiction, suicide and atomization as any of Elizabeth Warren's white papers." So buckle up, America. Because we're coming on strong. We're on an amazing journey, and everyone who is touched by it can feel it. I hope you feel good about what's happening. Please contribute generously to make peace-building the defining trait of the 2020 elections. All my best, with gratitude and love… Many thanks, Marianne If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately.
