Shortly before his death, President Franklin Roosevelt wrote these words: "We cannot be content, no matter how high that general standard of living may be, if some fraction of our people — whether it be one-third or one-fifth or one-tenth — is ill-fed, ill-clothed, ill-housed, and insecure."
Nearly 80 years later, it's time to bring back those words as well as the solution Roosevelt prescribed. He wanted an Economic Bill of Rights, and so do I.
We can begin a new chapter in American history, with a goal of economic security for all Americans. Poll after poll shows that Americans feel this country is moving in the wrong direction economically – and they are correct.
When I am president this will change. Please join me Thursday and hear more about my plans.
Tune in to the speech at Marianne2024.com. Tell your friends about it, and make a contribution to build the movement that will deliver on the promise of a 21st Century Economic Bill of Rights.
