What's been going on...

How we fix what's going wrong with Democrats in DC

Michael Blake is running for Congress because The Bronx deserves better than Ritchie Torres — and we can build it together. Michael's been organizing for justice and opportunity his whole life. That's what he'll fight for in Congress. If you'd like to receive fewer emails, let us know here.

Millions of us feel like something must be going wrong —

Sharra, we're working one, sometimes two, jobs. But our paychecks can't keep up with costs.

We're paying more for the heating bill, and health insurance, the rent, trips to the grocery store — it all adds up fast, and we're being squeezed at every turn. We're living in a country where one of its most defining characteristics is its possibilities, yet we're living through a time with fewer and fewer of them for working families.

I'm running for Congress to make sure we start passing legislation that resolve the problems we confront every single day, because every child should be able to achieve their American Dream, just like I did.

But to take on the system and win, I need a strong team that has my back from the very beginning. If you're in a position to help us win this year's biggest battle against AIPAC, I'm counting on you to chip in whatever makes sense now, before midnight.

The harsh, uncomfortable truth is that folks in DC are suffering from a lapse in leadership — and that critique applies to those within our own party, too.

It's time to send a new generation of unabashed, bold Democrats to DC — local leaders who fearlessly represent our communities and who'll lead the charge to win back control of the House, stand up to Trump, protect our Immigrant neighbors, and make this country a place where hardworking families succeed.

That's why I'm taking on AIPAC's biggest ally, Ritchie Torres, a politician who hasn't delivered for The Bronx because he's been bought and paid for by some of the biggest lobbying organizations in Washington and some of the wealthiest donors in politics.

Torres may have the money, but we have something he'll never have. All of us.

We're powering this movement the right way — one supporter, one dollar at a time. All thanks to people like you, Sharra w.

In solidarity,

Michael Blake
